This Hiking week  takes you from  the romantic Lake Starnebrg to the top of Bavaria, the Zugspitze. On the way you will see some of the hidden treasures of Bavarian history like the  Roseninsel or the Museum of Gabriele Münter. Take your lunch at the privat mountain hut, where King Ludwig II and Richard Wagner stayed.

Get to the Zugspitze and enjoy an breathtaking view over Garmisch...

Hiking time will be around 5-7 hours a day at an easy level. Your main luggage will be available at the day 1, 2,3,5, and 8.

Halfboard (B/D), all transfers from/to starting point ( good to get there by local train from Munich). Overnight in Mountain Huts (3) and Hotels (4).

Backpack and walking poles can be provided.

Full Insurance for mountain rescue and  a small present are included.

A perfect hiking-week with all the bavarian highlights like fantastic views, romantic mountain huts, typical bavarian food directly from the region and a lot of history. Cultur and history, tradition and mountainlife.

Meet our close friends in some remote places or  countryside. Join us with an bavarian  Brotzeit in one of the most  famous beergardens of the area.

Hiking time will be around 5-7 hours a day at an easy level. Your main luggage will be available at the day 1, 4 and 6.

We are Joachim and Schorsch (it´s the typical bavarian way to pronounce George) - the mountain guides for Hiking Bavaria.

Hiking and Trekking in our beautiful mountains is an fascinating way, to know more about one of the most famous parts of Germany. Organized by DAV Summit Club - the Mountaneering School of the German Alpine Club - we offer you an exclusive and perfect way, to know more about Bavaria and its tradition, its history - and by the way: we are shure, you will see some beautiful places you will never forget.

Our one-week-programms will start from Lake Starnberg to Zugspitze, from Garmisch to Neuschwanstein Castle or through the green scenery of Lake Chiemsee and the Chiemgau Alps with an night at the small romantic island  Fraueninsel .
